Burta Qollective
Burta is a food-loving duo formed in late 2024 by Ioana Lupascu and Jiye Seong-Yu. The collaboration began with a contribution to The Spoon, a community newspaper by Soupspoon Collective (Rotterdam).
Burta means “belly” in Romanian, while Bureu-da: ‘to feel full’ in South Korean, a linguistic coincidence that holds our shared
interest in politics, language, and being abroad.
